Your line stays in your pocket.

This Privacy Policy covers the Belcino Flow mobile app ("the app"), published by Isabella Mercer ("I", "me"). Belcino Flow helps hikers, trail runners and riders plan routes on a map, record hikes and rides with GPS, and keep those routes and tracks on their phone.

The app is built to work locally. You can use all of it without creating an account, and I do not run a server that receives your routes, recordings or location.

To do its job, the app keeps these on your phone:

• Planned routes: the lines you draw and adjust on the map, plus any names you give them.
• Recorded tracks: the GPS points from hikes and rides you record, with their timestamps, distance and duration.
• App preferences: settings such as activity type (hiking or riding) and display options.

This data stays in the app's private storage on your device. I cannot see it, and it is not sent to me.

The app asks for permission to use your device's location so it can:

• show where you are on the map while you plan or move, and
• record your path when you start a recording session.

If you allow background location, the app uses it only while a recording you started is active, so the track keeps building when the phone is in your pocket. When you stop the recording, tracking stops.

Location data is saved only as part of the tracks on your device. It is never shared with me or with advertisers. You can change or withdraw location permission at any time in your phone's settings. Recording will not work without it, but you can still view saved routes.

To draw the terrain, the app may download map imagery from a map service while you have a connection. As with any internet request, that service receives technical information it needs to deliver the images, such as your IP address and the map area being loaded. It does not receive your saved routes or recorded tracks from the app.

Map imagery the app has already loaded may be cached on your device, so maps can load faster and keep working with a weak signal.

• No account, name, email address or phone number is required or collected by the app.
• No analytics or usage-tracking SDKs.
• No advertising, advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
• No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.
• No uploading of your routes, tracks or location to my servers.

The app store you download from (Apple App Store or Google Play) may give me aggregated, anonymous statistics such as download counts or crash reports, if you have agreed to share them with developers in your device settings. These are governed by the store's own privacy policy.

• Delete single items: remove any saved route or recorded track inside the app.
• Delete everything: uninstalling Belcino Flow removes its data from your phone, except for any copies in device backups you control.
• Share on your terms: if you choose to export or share a route or track, it goes only where you send it, through your phone's share options.

Because I do not hold your data, there is nothing for me to access, correct or delete on a server. If you have privacy questions or want to exercise rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, contact me and I will help.

Belcino Flow is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app collects no personal data, none is held about children either. Parents with concerns can contact me at any time.

If the app's handling of data changes, I will update this policy and its effective date. Material changes will be noted on this page before they take effect.
