Trail junctions
My recording stops when the phone is in my pocket
Allow location access "Always" (iOS) or "Allow all the time" (Android) for Belcino Flow. That lets a recording you started keep running in the background.
Also turn off battery optimisation or Low Power Mode for the app, since these can pause GPS.
The recorded line looks jagged or jumps around
GPS accuracy drops under dense trees, in deep valleys and near cliffs. Before you start, wait a moment at the trailhead with a view of the sky so the phone can get a solid fix.
Will my saved routes work with no signal?
Your routes and tracks are stored on your phone, so they open offline. Map imagery that has not been loaded yet may need a connection, so open your planned area before you leave the car.
How do I edit a route I already planned?
Open the route from your saved list and switch to planning on the map. From there you can drag the line, adjust it and save your changes.
I deleted the app. Can you restore my tracks?
Unfortunately not. Belcino Flow keeps everything on your device and never uploads it to me, so I hold no copy. Device backups (iCloud or Google) may be able to restore the app's data, depending on your settings.
Does the app work for both hiking and riding?
Yes. Choose the activity type when you start recording. Planning, recording and saved tracks work the same way for both.
